• FULL TUITION payment is due within 7 calendar days of registration. Pending registrations that are not paid on time may be canceled. All NEW Spring trimester students must also submit an annual, per family $15 Registration/Portfolio Fee (this fee is non-refundable).
• PAYMENT MAY BE SENT to: ActonArt, P.O. Box 2743, Acton, MA 01720 or delivered directly to the studio. (Note: please do NOT send payment to our street address since there is no commercial mail delivery service at this location).
• QUALIFIED DISCOUNTS for multiple student familes may be deducted from the tuition of EACH family member when two or more family members are registered (see qualified discounts in table above). Qualified discounts are also available for homeschool specific classes, senior citizens and students who register and pre-pay for a FULL-YEAR (three-trimesters) of classes.
• ART SHOW exhibition fee of $25 (for custom invitations, matting and artists' reception) is collected during the Spring trimester.
• TUITION INCLUDES high quality & professional artists materials (Mixed Media, Portfolio Development and Advanced Studio classes may have an additional materials fee).
• STUDENTS may enroll at any time during the year if there is availability.
Additional or Optional Fees:
• The MIXED MEDIA, PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT and ADVANCED STUDIO classes (2 hours) have an additional materials fee added to the tuition. The quantity and quality of materials used in this class represent a significant increase over the costs for all other classes. Continuing price increases on artists materials have made it necessary to add this charge.
• Try-out classes and student placement evaluation are offered on a space-available basis. Payment is due on the day of the class. TRY-OUT FEE: $25
• Returned check fee: $25
Full-year tuition option
STUDENTS/FAMILIES MAY ELECT TO PRE-PAY TUITION FOR A FULL YEAR (Fall, Winter and Spring trimesters) IN ADVANCE and receive a tuition discount. Requests for full year discounts must be made at the time of Fall registration payment. Discounts may not be applied retroactively after Fall trimester classes have begun.The appropriate qualified discount (based upon the length of the class) is the amount that may be applied to all three trimesters when pre-paying for the full year. Families who also qualify for the multiple-student family discount may double the qualified discount for each student when pre-paying for the full year. Students who pre-pay the full-year will not need to re-register at the trimester breaks and any class transfer requests will be given first priority (subject to space availability).
In the event of an unanticipated withdrawal during the year, tuition for any remaining full trimesters will be refunded, less the amount of the full-year prepay discounts previously taken.

Bi-Weekly classes
Classes that are scheduled on a bi-weekly basis (ex. Drawing & Painting for Adults) will be priced individually. Please check the class descriptions for tuition. Any additional material costs will be noted as well.
Try-out classes
Prospective students who wish to try a class before registering may do so in any class with current openings. Filled classes are not open for try-outs. There is a flat fee of $25 for all try-outs regardless of the length of the class. Private instruction
Private instruction is available on a limited basis. A tuition quote will be provided by request and will be based upon the kind of instruction, the materials used, and the duration and number of sessions. Summer Drawing Classes & Program Tuition
Since ActonArt does not accept credit card payments we will hold your registration while waiting to receive payment. Online registration is time/dated and WILL TEMPORARILY SECURE a student's place in class in the order of receipt. Summer session check or cash payment must be received within 7 calendar days of registration. It can be sent via U.S. Postal Service (see address below) or hand-delivered to the studio as a check or cash payment. Upon receipt of payment we will complete your registration. Pending registrations which remain unpaid after 7 days may be canceled. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit built into the tuition. Summer 2009 class/program participants who withdraw prior to May 31, 2009 will be provided a refund minus the $25 deposit. NO refunds will be provided to participants who withdraw after May 31, 2009.
